General Terms
In booking an appointment or in enrolling in a class with me you agree to take full responsibility for your experience, healing, integration, and well-being. You understand that Shamanic Healing, Energy Healing, Mediumship, and any other method I may use to support you is complimentary to and not a substitute for medical and/or psychological care. You understand that I am not a licensed medical clinician.
Classes, Circles, Workshops, Long-Term Programs, and all other events:
Enrolling in an event is a commitment to yourself and to the Spirits who empower the work. Please ensure you are fully committed before enrolling in an event. Payments for classes, circles, workshops, long-term programs, and all other events are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are due prior to the start of the event unless you’ve made other arrangements with me. If paying by credit card via PayPal or Venmo be sure to use the gift or friend option otherwise please add 4% to your payment to cover transaction fees.
Sessions, Readings, and all other services:
Payment is due upon booking. If you do not have a means of paying electronically, and would like to send your payment via snail mail, please contact me directly for booking heather@myspiritwisdom.com (707) 397-0018).
My Helping Spirits and I do our best to complete our work within the time frame that you have booked and paid for, however, if you have multiple questions, feel it is beneficial for your process to discuss your situation in detail before we begin the work or review the work we did in detail before we close, it is possible the session will extend (if and when my schedule allows) past your scheduled end time. In these cases, I would let you know and ask if you are agreeable to extend the appointment, I also provide you with my hourly rate ($95-$150 per hour depending on the appointment type) which will be pro-rated to the nearest quarter hour, if you agree to proceed then you agree to compensate me for additional fees at the time of your appointment.
If finances are a consideration and you have less than $200 in monthly income/available credit after covering your basic needs for food, housing, transportation, pet and/or child care, you may complete this form to apply for a discounted Clinic Session. The Universal Law of Reciprocity comes into consideration here, thus I take these requests to my Helping Spirits and they determine the appropriate fee for the appointment.
You may reschedule or cancel your appointment a minimum of 72 hours prior. Canceled appointments will be refunded less a $50 cancelation fee to your original payment method or by snail mailed check. If you cancel or reschedule less than 72 hours before your appointment, are no show, or are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and payment forfeited.
Once an appointment is scheduled your intention has been put into motion, in other words, you’ve entered the preparation process and it’s not uncommon to notice changes in your health in the days or weeks leading up to your appointment.
Gift Certificates:
Gift certificates are transferable from one person to another, they are however non-refundable. Each certificate has a unique coupon code (example: GIFT21005) that can be redeemed when booking an appointment. I do not keep records of gift certificate purchases, thus it is your responsibility to keep your unique coupon code to redeem the monetary value of your certificate. The monetary value of your gift certificate can be applied to any Spirit Wisdom event or service. Contact me directly should you need assistance heather@myspiritwisdom.com. Gift certificates expire 2 years from the date they are issued.
Correspondence, Confidentiality, and At-Will Terms:
Corresponding with me via telephone, text, and email is for logistical questions, general feedback, and brief reflections about a session or course. If you have questions or feel that it is important to share personal details about your situation or what you are experiencing before scheduling a session as opposed to on your intake form or during your appointment or if you need or desire support unpacking, processing, and/or integrating an experience you had in a session, reading, or class, these details need to be shared in the intentional and held container of an appointment NOT via text, email, or voicemail. It is possible I will not reply to such correspondence or will simply reply to let you know that I am happy to read or discuss what you have written/are experiencing within the container of an appointment. Either way the invitation is to book an appointment if it feels pertinent or to seek out another practitioner who has boundaries that are a better fit for you.
The appropriate method of communication is to book a phone consultation appointment or to book a session and include these details on your intake form and/or discuss them during your appointment. These guidelines ensure clean and clear engagement and disengagement. I set aside 15-30 minutes to prepare myself and the container for each client appointment as such these containers are personalized, intentional, held, and supported by loving spirit guides who help to settle and contain the energy while we work with it. When a client sends a text or email with detailed information about their situation it opens the energy field, when I read it, it opens it more and all without the support and grounding of a container. So in requiring that these details be shared in the container of an intake form or appointment type it aides in keeping the field closed and more stable until your appointment.
Services are provided at will. I reserve the right to withdraw service and/or cancel the participation of anyone at any time. In such cases, fees paid in advance will be pro-rated and refunded.
On occasion my helping spirits may advise that I am not the best practitioner and/or teacher to support you, this is not personal, it means that with your best interest at the forefront, there is another practitioner/teacher that is a better fit for you at this time. In these cases, I often have another practitioner or teacher that I can recommend, depending on your location.
Confidentiality:
All personal information and experiences shared during sessions and classes are confidential. This includes the information you provided on your intake form, any scheduling or appointment notes, all session, reading, or event content records, and any progress notes that I take. There are two exceptions, one being if you explicitly share with me that you intend to cause physical harm to yourself or others, then I am legally required to report this to the police, and two, there may be times when I consult a colleague about a client, student, or case study. In these circumstances, no personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, etc. will be shared.
If I see you in public I will not engage with you unless you engage with me first, nor will I identify you as a client or student unless you identify yourself as one first. You may choose to give me permission in writing to release specific information about you to any person or agency that you designate.
In regards to classes, workshops, and all other events I require that every participant keep the identity and any information shared during an event by another participant confidential. Should I become aware that a participant has shared personal details about someone else in the group outside of the event container, they will no longer be permitted to attend Hearth of the Heart events. period…
All information, recordings, and/or material shared by myself or my affiliates in a class, or other events, and/or on a password-protected class forum, are proprietary and are not to be distributed or shared without my written consent. On occasion, when a client requests and my Helping Spirits agree, I will provide a recording of a private session or reading. These recordings are available for 30 days after the date of the appointment and during that time are the property of the client, can be shared only by and at the discretion of the client with whomever they wish. After 30 days recordings are permanently deleted for storage purposes.
